Wonderful winter

Ebbene si, non sono una di quelle che quando vede gli altri "soffrire" soffre di conseguenza... 

Quindi la semplice immagine di un bel bambino che con la sua "trotinette" (scusate tale vocabolo non puo` essere tradotto perché altrimenti non renderebbe adeguatamente l'idea) tenta di attraversare l'unica via in tutta l-Isola dei Cani che non e` stata cosparsa di sale anti gelo e che rovinosamente precipita in una gigantesca pozzanghera ghiacciata e si inzuppa completamente i pantaloni di lana che dovrà indossare molto probabilmente per tutto il resto della giornata... Lo ammetto... Mi ha fatto davvero ridere....!

Lo so sono cattiva... non cercherò nessuna scusa o giustificazione...

Cosi` e`...Se vi pare...

Well yes... I'm not one of those person that when sees others' suffering "suffers" as a result ...

So the simple image of a beautiful child with his "trotinette" (sorry but this word cannot be translated otherwise it wouldn't express the idea properly) trying to cross the only road in all Isle of Dogs in which the gritter wasn't passed, ruinously rushing into a giant iced puddle, completely soaking his wool pants,  that most likely he would have to wear for the rest of the day ...I must admit that really made me laugh .. ..!

I know I am bad ... I will not try to find any excuse or justification ...

Strani vicini

Una delle cose che non smettono di sorprendermi è che personaggi (umani e non...) incontro nelle mie passeggiate per le vie di Londra....

One of the things that never stops to amaze me is the amount of characters (human and non ...) that I meet day by day in my walks through the streets of London ....

Ok... La nostra casa ha dei problemi... Non ultimo gli abitanti....

Anyway... Bisogna ingegnarsi e tentare di sopravvivere in condizioni di vita estreme quindi noi, Io e la mia "Famiglia Inglese" (di cui ormai sono diventata il terzo elemento della coppia... Sorry Guys!) ci siamo attrezzati....

Io mi sono comprata quello che ormai è diventato il mio migliore amico, un DEUMIDIFICATORE che mi aiuta a combattere il terribile mostro del Black Mould e i miei coinquilini si sono trasformati in Flies Buster che periodicamente procedono con l'aspirazione di tutti i meschini che tentano di subaffittare il nostro appartamento.....

Ok ... Our house has problems ... Last but not least people who liv in it ....Anyway ... 

We must be smart and try to survive in those extreme conditions of life.

We,  my "English Family" and I (I have become the third element of their couple ... Sorry Guys!) We equipped ourself ... .

I bought what has become my best friend, a DEHUMIDIFIER that helps me fight the terrible monster of Black Mould and my roommates became some kind of Flies Buster who regularly proceed with the aspiration of all the little flies that tries to sublet our apartment .....

What a great team !!!!

Masterchef... un affare di famiglia

Anche se siamo in montagna...
Anche se non abbiamo Sky...
Anche se la connessione è solo quella dell'hotspot del telefono del Papà....
Noi non ci arrendiamo e non rinunciamo alla serata Masterchef in famiglia!!!!
Adoro questo lato della mia famiglia!!!

Although we do not have Sky ...
Although the internet connection is only the one provided by Dad's phone hotspot....
We did not give up and we didn't miss the family Masterchef evening!!!!
I love this side of my family !!!

E poi... Il nuovo anno è arrivato la serata è stata iper fantastica.
Il menù comprendeva zampone e lenticchie ma anche la Super Pizza/Focaccia del "Maestro" e tra una canzone cantata da Giggi&Friends ed una partita a Solo abbiamo stappato la bottiglia di spumante mangiato il panetto e fatto il primo Trenino di capodanno della mia vita con tanto di cambio giro!!!!

Felice 2015 a tutti!!!


And eventually ... The new year has arrived the evening was fantastic hyper.
The menu included zampone and lentils but also the Super Pizza / Focaccia of the "Master" and between a song sung by Giggi & Friends and a Solo card game we uncorked a bottle of spumante we ate a slice of panettone and we made the first New year little train of my life with even a switch!!!!

Slittata by night

Una delle attività migliori e peggiori delle vacanze natalizie in montagna è sicuramente la slitta in notturna.

Bisogna letteralmente violentarsi per decidere concretamente di vestirsi a cipolla ed uscire al buio ed al freddo dopo una giornata di sci e dopo aver dormicchiato per tutto il pomeriggio....

Ma quando hai una solrella e soprattutto una amica estremamente determinata alla fine tenti solo di pensare alla super pizza che ti aspetterà alla fine dell'avventura e ti butti nel freddo ed alla fine ti diverti di brutto!!!!!!!

Il top però rimane la frase della cassiera della biglietteria che girandosi verso di me ha detto a mia sorella e alla mia amica "Si siete 2 donne e....?" Ok avevo casco e mascherina mah...simpatica...

One of the best and worst activities  of Christmas holidays in the mountains definitely is the nocturnal sleigh.

You literally have to do violence on yourself to decide concretely to dress up like an onion and exit in the dark and in the cold after a day of skiing and having spent all the afternoon taking naps and drinking hot teas ....

But when you have a sister and especially a friend which are extremely determined you just try to think bout the super pizza that will be waiting you at the end of the adventure and you jump out in the cold and eventually you realize that you had such a FUN !!!!!!!

The best, however, remains the phrase of the cashier of the Ticket-box  that looking at me, said to my sister and my friend, "You are two women and ....?" Ok I was wearing helmet and glasses but however...Nice of her ...

Christmas eventually

Quest'anno il giorno è stato un tantino diverso in Casa Romeo ma alla fine è stato uno dei Natali migliori di sempre!!!!!
Ciascuno ha preparato qualche cosa.
La Nonna Nina ha fatto l'Insalata russa ed il Risotto (ed ha anche portato le specialissime sardine Delicius...), La Nonna Etta si è occupata del Tacchino ripieno di frutta e ovviamente il Patè della Iaia era "particolarmente buono quest'anno"!!!!
Insomma tutti erano felici cosa che ha reso la giornata lieta per davvero!!!!!

This year Christmas day had changed a bit in Romeo's House but eventually it has been one of the best Christmas day ever!!!
Everybody did something.
Nonna Nina cooked the Insalata russa and the Risotto (and she brought the very special Delicious Sardines), Nonna Etta cooked the turkey and obviously Iaia's Patè was "particularly good this year"!
Well everybody was happy and that makes the day to be merry for real!!!

Before leaving

Last days before leaving for Christmas holidays... In the library... Me, myself and I....

At one point I really was  scared of having been forgotten and having been locked inside....

I understood the meaning of "Loneliness of Numbers One"!
And also what it means to be a minority because in times of maximum flow the other 2 or 3 students present certainly did not belong to the European continent .....


Ultimi giorni prima del ritorno a cara per le tanto agognate vacanze di Natale... In biblioteca (tanto per cambiare....) Io, me stessa e... Basta!!!!!
Ad un certo punto ero talmente sola che temevo di essere stata dimenticata e che mi avessero chiusa dentro...
Finalmente ho capito il significato della "Solitudine dei Numeri Primi".....
E anche cosa significhi essere una minoranza perché nei momenti di massimo afflusso gli altri 2 o 3 studenti presenti non appartenevano certo al continente europeo.....
